Symptom: When the vehicles PK3 (Passkey III) passive anti-theft system light remains lit on the vehicles cluster indefinately after the remote starter starts the vehicle.

Cause: The passkey III module is not located at the key cylinder. The bypass kit is probably installed utilizing the incorrect security wires.

Solution: Consult the following instructions (depending on the vehicle) which differs from the instructions provided in the GMDAA and GMDAAF installation manual.

Cadillac Only: Locate the PK3 anti-theft system module under the driver side dash to the right of the gas pedal. This module has 2 white wires, one of which is an accessory input to the PK3 system. Verify the accessory voltage with a multimeter to locate the correct wire. Cut this wire and connect the PK3 module side (the box located near the gas pedal) to the ignition output (pink/black), and key side to the ignition input (pink) of the bypass kit.

Aurora Only: Locate the PK3 anti-theft system module behind the DIC (Drivers Information Center). To do this you will need to remove the radio bezel and DIC. This module has 2 white wires, one of which is an accessory input to the PK3 system. Verify the accessory voltage with a multimeter to locate the correct wire. Cut this wire and connect the PK3 module side (the box located behind the DIC) to the ignition output (pink/black), and key side to the ignition input (pink) of the bypass kit.
